Man Accused Of Drunk Driving 6 Times In 6 Weeks Loses License
A New Jersey man accused of drunken driving six times over six weeks is losing his license for 33 years.
Anderson Sotomayor pleaded guilty in Municipal Court in Vineland on Thursday to driving while intoxicated on April 9, April 25 and May 12 Thursday.
A judge sentenced the 45-year-old to a year in jail.
Sotomayor also pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and failure to stop stemming from an April 2 crash in which he hit a bus.
Under terms of a plea agreement, prosecutors dropped several other motor vehicle charges.
The judge also imposed $6,342 in fines and $700 in motor vehicle surcharges.
Do you really think that it will keep them from driving??? People that drink and do stupid things....We have a lady here who is fighting hers to get it taken off her record. Granted she wasn't stopped initially for drinking and driving. She was talked to by some cops because she was in a business that was closed down for the night and the cops could then talk to her and ask her questions. It turns out she was lost but she was drinking and driving. So therefore got arrested. Sad people just don't get it and that means everyone that drives while distracted!
