The Cafe The Cafe

Would anyone else prefer to just skip Thanksgiving all together?

It's just such a gluten filled, total lie of a holiday. I get the whole being with family thing but I don't need a holiday to want that. I'd rather just go straight to Xmas. I'm not religious so it doesn't hold that meaning for me but at least it's fun for the kids, that's why I love Xmas. The kids are so happy and I love to give to others and volunteer also. Thanksgiving is lame...lol

This year yes. I'm not in a very happy holiday kind of mood. I'll be the Scrooge without the epiphany this year lol.

We had a gluten free holiday.

How is it a lie of a holiday?

Christmas is the lie of a holiday.

I love thanksgiving. We do so much as a family. It's special in our house.

Yet you can't wait to go straight to Christmas, and you love Christmas.

What's up with you? You don't like Thanksgiving, yet you celebrate, you feel the same about Christmas, yet you celebrate. Who's running your life?

Love thanksgiving! We wait all year to sit with family and stuff our faces and drink wine and eat tons of pie. It was a huge holiday for my family when I was younger. My grandmother (God rest her soul) wouldcookfor about 15 of us. It's not the same anymore. I miss my cousins and aunts and uncles. No one gets together anymore. So we are trying to start our own traditions. Still love it!
