head start seems alot better than what the ecfe has to offer, and they offer from infants n up depending on the parents situation.

Both of my kids were in Head Start. What's "ECFE", never heard of it?
Not sure what ECFE is, but I would NEVER do Head Start personally. The program is far too invasive. They require kids to be screened by their health pracitioners, such as the dentist they bring in, ext., regardless of whether they have a personal physician. I'm not comfortable with that. They weight and measure the kids -- not something I'd want done at school. I could understand if it was an optional component of the program available to parents whose children otherwise had little or no access to medical care, but it's mandatory and that's not okay with me. They also do "case management" on familie s and home visits you can't opt out of. Eh...good for families that need it, irritating to me. There was Head Start that got sued for carrying out genital exams, I think in Colorado. No thanks, big brother can stay away from me.
