 I work with some great gals and this one in particular has had a boyfriend for the past year.  She asked if I could cover a shift new years eve <yeah no>.  So last night I get a text from my boss telling me she changed the schedule and wants to put me on new years eve. <ummm no again>  I told her in no way would I work new years eve because the schedule she gave me a month ago  didn't have me working so I made plans out of town.  The boss then says, "well XXXXX boyfriend called from out of town and he has big plans to surprise her.  I said thats funny she already asked me to work that shift so she knows he's in town.  Pffftt nice try on getting out of a new years eve shift.  Who has their boyfriend call and try and get them out of work.

Yep. I've worked New Year's Eve for years because I don't go out that night so normally its no big deal. But this year as luck would have it I was not scheduled so I figured I'd leave out of town. My boss is also leaving town so she thought she would try and slide that shift on me. Fuck that
