Wedding Program: How To: wording in mother and step-mom?

I'm making my wedding programs right now and I wasn't sure how i'm suppose to mention my mother and step-mom? Well mother is pretty much no brainer "mother of the bride" but my step-mom absolutely hates being introduced as step-mom. What are some other alternatives I could do? Even if I just do parents of the bride, how would I put that? Help would really be appreciated, I really don't want to offend anyone or have drama start.

if she doesn't like step mom, ask her what she wants to be called in the program

i'm a stepmom, when my stepdaughters got married, i was listed as...Step Mom

so if she hates it, i'd find out what she wants you to use

I would  just do "mother of the bride" and "father of the bride" and leave it at that.

Ask her what she would prefer to be called or leave her off the program altogether if she is going to cause a stink. I would think she would be able to put her personal feelings aside for ONE day and grow up and act like a mature adult.

He's still alive. We were thinking about doing that, but thought she would still be offended because her name isn't actually listed. I think we figured out what we're going to do though. Thanks ladies!

Wy would she be offended. It should be Mr and Mrs for your Dad and stepmom.

I'm a low-tolerance person when it comes to other people's BS, so what I would do is call her up and say, "we're putting together the wedding programs, and while I know you dislike the term 'stepmother,' it's the only logical way I can think of to describe our relationship without turning it into an essay. So, what I wanted to know is, if we can think of nothing better, are you going to be so rude as to voice your displeasure at my wedding?"
