Migrains in preschooler? PIOG Update1 & 2

In the last few months my 5 year old preschooler has been having severe migrains. He throws up from the pain, screams, writhes and tries to claw his eyes out. He had another episode tonight. I don't want to freak out. He isn't scheduled to see his doctor until September, but should I make him an appointment soon?

UPDATE #1

He is scheduled for a CT scan for tomorrow morning. His doctor has him on some medication currently as well, and we will continue the medication until his doctor tells us other-wise. Thank you everyone. I'll keep you posted on what the CT says when we find out the results.

UPDATE #2

I just got the phone call from the clinic saying the results are in. He has a polyp in his sinus cavity that is blocking his sinuses from draining correctly. He will continue the medication he is on and he has a follow up with the ENT to see about removing it so that he never has these again.

I'm so glad it isn't anything more serious. Again, thank you everyone.

Yes you should make an appointment before September! Is this even a serious question. He needs to see a neurologist to see why he is having them. We found out that my daughter was having seizures this way.

I get them. Never saw a nurologist. I would just go to medical and they gave me a shot. Now I just rest and drink a tea I made I do admit they look scary and so I wanted to make sure I wasnt being over paranoid.

My kid screams all of the time. I have a sobbing kid at every meal because he bites his tongue at every meal. The clawing at his eyes does scare me since that is where he says the pain is. Its the throwing up that terrifies me, though. I am making the appt. No need to be mean.

It could be seizures.  They show up in all different ways.  My cousin used to start throwing up before she would pass out.  She always knew one was coming on because she would start to feel nauseous, then start throwing up.

Get him to the dr!!  Yes, it is something to worry about!!
