doctor says the baby weighs 3 pounds 9 ounces, do you think im gonna have a small baby? i worry sometimes about baby being too small. ds was 4 pounds 6 oz when he was born. stayed in an incubator for 5 days cuz he couldn't keep his body temp up and he was breathing too fast. also had very slight jaundic(sp?) so i guess im just a little worried. what do you mamas think?

If your first was small it doesn't necessarily mean your second is gonna be small too.. Eat a shit ton of food for the next 7 weeks, or take an extra vitamin a day.

The last few weeks the baby should gain about a pound a week. I'm 30 weeks and the doctor said my little one weighs about 2.5 - 3 lbs.

All the baby sites I read on (week by week growth) say the same thing.

You have 7 weeks to fatten the baby up.

Doctor could be wrong, they are usually just guesstimating.

Those are just estimates on weight. Nothing is certain until the baby is born.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Each baby is different.

Just eat right and you should be fine.

My oldest was 6 lbs 12 oz and a full 2 weeks late. 2nd dd was 3 days late and 6 lbs 2 oz. They usually gain a lot the last 6 weeks.
