Do you think it's okay for boys to wear pink?

Posted by Anonymous   + Show Post

So my son and I went shopping because he needed some new clothes and his tastes (he's 6) run towards the preppy, so we got him some khaki shorts and some polo shirts and one of them he picked out was a pale pink. We got home and my husband FLIPPED!

Do you think it's okay for boys to wear pink?

Why wouldn't it be ok? I swear, some men are so completely ridiculous! Tell your husband to frigin relax, it's not going to make him gay!

Ask hubby if he is against wearing a pink shirt in supprt of his mother if she had breast cancer. If he replies no, then tell him it is no difference. I'd he then replies yes there is, then you need to open up a conversation with him as to his reasoning why. You do not want your dh's negative thoughts/opinions to be transferred to your son.

Why not!?!?  I looke at a dark pink, navy, and white checked shirt for DS for Easter (to go under a navy sweater vest - want to talk about preppy!)  butt, they were all sold out in his size.

Absolutely.  Pink was originally a boy's color and blue was for girls.

Sure! Even though DS won't wear pink!

A pink polo shirt is normal for boys, otherwise it would not be a standard color at most stores.
