If you made more money, would you be happier?

Posted by   + Show Post

University of Michigan economists Betsey Stevenson and Justin Wolfers have discovered that for people of all economic circumstances, when income rises, people say they are happier. (http://now.msn.com/more-income-makes-people-happier-says-study)

If you made more money, would YOU be happier?

No I was happy when I found out hubby is getting a raise but I can't say it makes me happier overall. I believe happiness is a choice. You can look at your life and go "oh poor me I don't have as much money as this person and if I only had more I would be happy" but there's always someone who is better off. Besides money just buys stuff and stuff does not buy happiness.
Given it would be hard without enough money to cover the bills but we don't need a lot leftover to be happy. We don't need a huge home and a lot of stuff. We choose to be happy where we are now :)

Off course we would be happier and less stressed if we made more money. How can you be 100% happy, when you are stressed and worried trying to figure out what bills to pay and how much you have left for food or if you even have $$$ for an emergency situation!

Yes, because we would be able to put our own roof above our heads and not go without to be able to afford just enough food.
