Do you give your children a gift when they are sick to help them feel better? One of my friends said that she does. I dont but i was wondering if any other moms out there do??

*Just for the common cold or flu

For big things. She got a present when she had both surgeries, and a few when she had ear infections, but they weren't to make her feel better. It was just to be nice while she was going through a hard time.
She's three years old.

I did when my son had surgery. And when he's had to go to the hospital or get blood tests done. But, he goes every three mobths for tests so it's not like huge stuff all of the time. When he just has the flu or a cold I don't. It seems he wants things that are familiar to him when he's sick.

Surgery I might, but not for the flu or a common cold. Lol. Can you imagine how broke I would be if I gave them a gift every time they got a cold? I have a feeling they wouldn't be working on washing their hands or concerned about germs :)

I can understand if it was something serious but the typical tummy bug. No!

Not for just a sickness.  However, if my child or a close friend or family member has surgery or is seriously sick (like in the hospital) I do get a gift.  When I had surgery I got flowers from my parents, close group of friends, and my son and dh.
