quick question about nail polish and little girls?

I have a almost 4 year old and a five year old little girl. They really want so nails done. Every nail polish I tried doesn't last on them that is for children. Has anyone ever used Sally Hansen or Mary Kay nail polish on the little ones? Is it good and effective and did your little one ever have any reactions 2 the Polish? Thanks

Yeah, my daughter is four also and it peels off so fast. Maybe it's because they have softer nails?

Do they suck their thumbs or put their fingers in their mouth?  If so, you don't want to put the "adult" nail polish on them and have it come off in their mouths.  If not, you should be okay.

I've used Piggy Paint on my daughter.  If it's applied correctly (they have directions) it can last for a while.  At least more than instantly coming off.  You can buy it online, but it's at Walmart too where the kid's nail polish is.

They don't last any longer and are all made out of the same stuff.  There is truly no difference between adult and kids nail polish.

I think you should make sure it's toluene-free polish and other than that, any kind is okay.

I've been using Sally Hansen's quick-dry polish on my DD for a couple of years. It lasts better than most quick-dry polishes, and, well, it's quick to dry, which is a major plus for everyone involved.

I never did, only because it seals the pores in the nail. When she was a teen, she started.

i can't get nail polish to stay on myself...so i don't think you'll be successful with the girls (since little kids seem to do alot more with their hands than i would)

I didnt even know they made special kinds for little kids.  I have two year olds and i have been using mine on them.  They dont have any reactions to it.  I usually just do one coat cuz they arent patient enough to do two.

I've polished my little girl's nails with one of the quick-drying polishes (I don't remember the brand at the moment). Little ones find it hard to be still long enough for regular polish to dry. She didn't have any adverse reaction to it.  However, I prefer to buy her the stickers for her nails than to polish them. She loves the pretty designs and it seems safer to me than nail polish.
