"A Florida teenager faces criminal charges stemming from her relationship with another young female student. Kaitlyn Hunt, 18, faces two felony counts of "lewd and lascivious battery on a child 12 to 16" after the parents of her 15-year-old girlfriend pressed charges earlier this year, according to Examiner." [full story]

Should this girl be charged?

How far did they go? I only ask because if the 18 year old was a guy the might have done the same thing. But with out more info I can not give a Informed answer.
Edit: it says when they started dating they were 18 and 14, now I am all for same sex and what not, but the age thing can be a big deal. I just wonder how far they went. Kissing, no problem, oral: big problem at age 14-15 with an adult. IMO

It could have nothing to do with the fact that she's a lesbian but the fact that she's 18 and an adult. The girlfriend is 15.

It's not lesbianism that's a crime. It's indecent liberties with a minor. People are making too big a deal about the lesbian part of this, Kaitlyn Hunt is a criminal because she's after a kid. Period.

It is not because she is a lesbian it is because she is 18 and the other girl is 15.

Would you be asking the same question if it was an older boy dating a girl?

It's not about being gay, it's about the fact that what she did, dating or not was illegal.
