The Cafe The Cafe

Would you pay $50 to see a movie?

A theater in NY offered a deal: for $50 you could see "World War Z" plus 3D glasses, popcorn, sodas, a poster, and a copy of the DVD when it's released.

Would you pay $50 for this?

The tickets are worth anywhere from $10-$15, popcorn and soda $5, poster $5, glasses idk how much. DVD $25.

Yeah, I would if I wanted to see it that bad. But I don't.

Nope. What would I do with a poster? And I'd only want a copy of the DVD if I LOVED the movie.

Gotta agree with this ... but I have no desire to see this particular movie.

Not here. Dvd's are usually $20 unless a blu ray. Sounds like a rip off.

If it was a movie I knew I'd enjoy I sure would. Tickets are any where from $10-15, popcorn and soda is probably around $10, poster $5, dvd $20, glasses $5.

Actually now that I wrote it down it looks like the price is about the same depending on the actual cost of everything.

I wouldn't, but I just do not go to the theater very often. Redbox is a lot easier when you have little kids at home.

Nope, I'd just wait for the DVD.

I'm on Long Island, specifically Suffolk County. The local theatre is $10 a ticket for the matinee and $12.50 for a later showing. It's $15 if you're in the director's hall or $14.25 for the 3D version (which is currently where the movie is playing). Popcorn + soda is another $10 or so. Going to the movies is pretty expensive.
