...where is it and what's the population?

I'll start: I live in Webster, Wi population 653.

Our town has 8,000 people. Still pretty small.

I'm not saying my town! Sorry its so small i could be found. Population less than 300 in Minnesota.

Grafton, nd I think we have 9k but it includes farmers, state school and the old folks home

It's not as small as it was when we built our house back in 1985; it's more than tripled in growth.  I just googled it, and according to Wikipedia, the population as of the 2010 census was 4,435.  Developers have been buying up farm land - the farmers can't afford to really farm anymore - and building housing developments.
