A Utah mom has been shopping for larger diapers after giving birth to a 14-pound baby boy.

Sara Brandon gave birth to her son, Joel Brandon Jr., or "J.J.," by cesarean section last May and was shocked by his size, especially since her last ultrasound estimated his weight as closer to 11 pounds.

I had gestational diabetes both times, my premie weighed 7lbs 8.5 oz, and was 21 in long.  My youngest was 9lb 15.5 oz 24 in long.  it was the diabetes that did it.  I stopped after that.  I weighed 130 when I got pregnant with my first and delivered at 190 lbs.  witt  my 2nd I started at 143 and weighed in at 212 on delivery day. (I am 5'2)  I was miserable and sick.  I was never a tiny thing, but it has taken me YEARS to get back down to 150 lbs.  still working on my weight.  it's a constant struggle.

She didn'thave a say in how big her baby was going to be. Or is this something new that I don't know about . How can she make the baby growing inside her any smaller.
