When you're in a bad/sad mood, how do you shake it?

When you're having one of those days where every single thing pisses you off from the moment your feet hit the floor in the morning, how do you turn it around and shake off the angry mood? Or if you're feeling sad, ready to cry for no good reason, how do you make yourself smile instead?

I agree with those above, exercising, music, and sleeping can help.  I would also say try taking as many deep breaths as you can.  I mean like 50.  I've found it can shift my mood especially anger and frustration.  I also think it is healthy to make space to cry and let it out if needed.

If you have more time things like meditation, a long walk or reading something affirming and positive can also be helpful.

I don't. I usually end up laying in bed crying myself dry.

I clean. I write (journal type stuff). I used to read the news for perspective, (but sometimes it has the opposite affect and brings ya down) ...Certain songs totally change my attitude. Led Zeppelin's "Over the Hills and Far Away" is an all time fave. That's my kick ass song. Starts off slow, let's you be sad, cuz its ok, then brings you up till you want to air box Rocky style. Try it.

I listen to a little Holiday Jazz now. I read my GOALS and get to work, which I do from home thank goodness. Pandora is my savior. Then when I hear or read someone elses life dramas it makes me feel more grateful. Plus I have an inspiring TEAM I am part of, these ladies never let your frown last too long!
