Getting finicky eaters to eat healthy snacks

Hi fellow moms of finicky eaters,

If your child is a finicky eater like my daughter, I know how frustrating it can be to get them to eat anything healthy...let alone, anything green. (Sorry to my mom...I was the same way when I was a child)

A few years ago when my daughter's two front baby teeth fell out, one night, she wanted to know how to get the new teeth to grow in more quickly. I suggested she eat something healthy the next day, and there it was; I had my new children's book, Magic Peas and Two Front Teeth. I painted 20 vibrant oil paintings for the illustrations to go along with this sweet story that encourages children to choose healthy snacks.

Earlier today, I launched my Magic Peas Kickstarter project to raise funds to turn this story into a beautiful, full-color keepsake hardcover first edition. I also created the companion Snacks and Sides Activity Book for grades preschool through elementary school. I hope you will check out this project at, and share this project with your friends.

There are great rewards for contributors, including your child painted into the book and your name recognized in Zoe's "Thank You" garden, so please, make a pledge to this project. Even if your children are no longer young, there are wonderful rewards for pet parents to have their cats and dogs painted into the book. Or make a pledge to a level such as the "Basket of Cherries," and bring some magic peas to others by donating the books your local library or school.

The Magic Peas story is a sweet tale about a finicky eater who loses her baby teeth, then learns to enjoy healthy snacks while eagerly awaiting her new teeth to grow in. This is a great story for any finicky eaters, but also, it's a fun way to encourage all children to choose healthy foods. Along with the Magic Peas hardcover, theSnacks and Sides Activity Book will become a paperback with more than 100 pages brimming with full-color activities, all focusing on healthy snacks and side dishes. There even are cutouts children can take to the market to help do the shopping for healthy foods.

Again, please share this project with your friends. You can find more information at my author website, and I truly appreciate your support!
