Debating this, those who married, did you take your husband last name? Or hyphenate? or keep your maiden name?

Edit: My first featured post! so excited lol (the little joys in life)

A little background, just got married the 14th and i hadn't decided about the name thing yet. My mother had a hyphenated last name when her and my father got married (after i was born i was 5) and kept it even after getting divorced. I have my father's last name but we have never been close (haven't seen him in over 3 years), nothing against him or my name though.

Took dh's name. My last name would have over 20 letters if I hyphenated it so that was a big fat no.
If you hyphenate and your kids want to hyphenate also when does it end? Do you keep hyphenating like Smith-Jones-Williams-Johnson and so on and so on?????
I would want my kids last name. I also realize many divorced parents don't though.

I took dh last name. If I hadn't gotten married I would have changed my name legally to something different.

I kept my maiden name. Both of our boys have my last name as well.

I will be keeping my name as is, no hyphenating.
