Do you always lock your doors?

My boyfriend NEVER locks his doors, and I mean NEVER, not to his house, his vehicles, nothing. I always lock mine up and whenever I get out of one of his cars I lock the door before I close it. It's the same with the house - I lock the door behind me when I go inside, just as a habit, and he'll later try to go out and ask, "Why's this damned door locked?" I just grew up locking doors, and I guess he didn't, but he acts like I'm so weird for locking everything up?

Do you lock the doors to your house/apartment? What about your car?

Yes...a little OCD about it. I have been known to check all the windows and doors at least two times evernight. Even a seeminly safe town, you never know!

Sometimes not.  No biggie.  Grew up never locking our doors but a rarity.

We used to not but we moved and we no longer have a security wall and coded gate.
This summer we are putting both in.

I grew up in a rough neighborhood, we ALWAYS locked our doors, had dogs, and guns. DH grew up in a small town (about 4,000 people). However, he lived with his grandparents when he was just out of HS and their house (same town i grew up in) got broken into (door was locked but broke the glass) and kind of shattered his idea of safety.

We always lock our doors and have three different types of locks, also always lock the car.
