For the best interest of the child

Mathew Knowles is the father of Beyonce. He had a child while married to Beyonces mother. Of course I dont know all the details but what do you think of this situation. He does not want anything to do with the child but he does pay child support. He was ordered to pay $12,000 per month(not a typo). He paid it for 6-8 months. They went back to court and the judge reduced it to about 2600 per month. Rectroactively. So he does not have to pay child support for 2 1/2-3 years. Meanwhile bm must have thought money was coming for 18 years. She spent all the money and now receives foodstamps and lives in a trailor provided by a company who helps homeless women. Trailor looks nice- saw it on inside edition-. Do you think the courts should order mathew knowles to at least contribute something now so his child can be in a better situation?  BM does not work. If a bm  knowingly misspends money should men help if it affects the child.

If she can't manage to live off the large amount of money he's already given her, how can she be expected to manage anything else he gives her? Maybe the child should be given to the more responsible parent.

I thought child support was meant for the use of supporting a child. Exactly what did she buy for the chid that cost $96,000? Who else doesn't think she wouldn't have blown through whatever else he gives her?

P.S. I get that the mother can use the child support sometimes for herself too, but c'mon, $96.000....

Dont know exactly. She did live in a more upscale neighborhood before she got kicked out and the boy did go to a private preschool for a while. Whatever she did with it it's gone and they are liviing in a trailor provided by a homeless group. She receives pa. She was using child support as living income and it suddenly got taken away.

Other parents wants nothing to do with the child besides financial support

No, the father paid plenty, mom should have been smarter. The child is homeless due to her greed, what life did she have before having the child? She should have kept it that way.

I know most states do this when a parent goes for PA, the state makes the other pay it back so he may be paying for her PA.

IMO, he should be paying, and she she shouldn't have spent that money. Nothing is for forever. Buuuut, if the man doesn't want to pay, there's not much many people can do. The courts can do all kinds of stuff, but the BM should be working to support her child if nothing else. How sad that neither one of the parents are taking responsibility.

Food stamps = two words

We are a family of 4 living off of $1500 ($574 of which is food stamps) yes we get section 8 thanks to the VA and we are both working to get our medcial billing and coding certificates. No he owes nothing until his payments start up again. the the hell did she buy with what he already paid. That was irresposible on her part.
