Why do some think being heterosexual grants automatic morality?

Been seeing a lot of "being gay is wrong" and "I hope my kids aren't gay" crap lately. What the ell does being straight have to do with being moral?
Straight people lie, cheat, steal, kill, and do generally bad things just as much as any other people in the world. Straight married men and women destroy the "sanctity" of marriage every day. Straight parents abuse and neglect their children every day. Why does being gay mean you are automatically a bad person to some? I'll never understand that.
I feel so sorry for ignorant people. People are people. Anyone can be a bad person.

We'll I don't want to start a religious debate. I just don't see how being gay makes you bad. It makes you gay, that's it. If you're a bad person you're a bad person no matter who you sleep with.
