Is it just for display or do you eat it afterwards? Any pictures of the ones you have done?

We do . We divide into 2 teams and have a friendly competition. Lots of laughs, the grandchildren love it and it takes way to long . We display them and then toss them.

last year's Gingerbread house - based on a favoite winter story book "One Snowy Night"   The house and park ranger are gingerbread, the little animals outside the door were made from chocolate "dough"  The trees are icecream cones with royal icing

I do the foam ones for a contest at work. The first is a beach hotel, the sand is crushed cookies and crackers and the ocean is colored icing. The second is Santa’s workshop and deer barn. I do the cinnamon applesauce dough for the “gingerbread” and pretzels are also one of my favorite mediums.
