whats one (or more than one) thing that you keep a secret from your SO?  i'll start:

I cant stand the show MASH....i dont know why....and i wont tell him because he watches it all the time, but i cant stand it.

edit: i meant this to be fun.....i dont keep big things from my so, but i think all of us have those little things that we keep from them just because w dont want to hurt them, or just because its not really that big of a deal.

  • Sometimes I don't tell my boyfriend when I need something like shampoo. He already provides a lot, so when I do have money I just get it myself. I know it's stupid, but the last time I bought nailpolish and told him, I could have asked him for the money. I just thought it was like only a couple of dollars. He just really likes to take care of me, so I just don't tell him about the little stuff.

  • Maybe just some of the things he does that bother me. (Little stuff) And everyone has those... I'm not going to nitpick him over stupid things like that so I choose not to bring them up.

  • We really don't have secrets.... the one I CAN think of is to protect him and it has to do with my old line of work and some clearance and all that... he knows ALOT... just not all of it... why freak him out?

Nothing, I don't keep secrets from him and he doesn't keep any from me either. To us that is dishonest and Honesty is a key in our marriage, along with respect and communication. We think it is disrespectful to keep secrets from one another.

  • This isn't really a huge secret and he pretty much knows.  We can afford to spend money on things but if its something I know he will say "why did you buy that" or "why did you spend so much", I will just take out cash and spend $200 cash so it isn't on the credit card.  OR, if I have $200 cash and I am spending $300, I will put $100 cash and $100 on the credit card.  Yesterday I bought $200 in fireworks.  I paid cash.  I know he knows they were alot, but probably not quite that much so its not on the credit card.  NO, we never spend money we don't have, nor have we ever.  We save a lot and do not have debt except our mortgage.  We have college paid for our 18 year old and have a lot saved for our younger daughter.

  • I'll take out cash, not to LIE about where I go, because I'll tell him, but just to keep it from being on our bank statement because he won't care that I went to Walmart and spent 75 dollars, but when you see it on the bank statement that I actually went to 3 walmarts in the same day and spent 10 at one, 20 at another and 45 at the other, then it looks kinda wierd! So he knows I went there, I just don't like to see it on paper! So I take out cash when I go to walmart.

  • I can't get out of Walmart ever without spending at least $100 even if I went there for one thing.
