Please help me understand my husband.
He's a smoker I am not. I have asthma so he would never smoke around me. Well I have told him for a couple years "I'd rather you dip than smoke because I can still breath." Which he did switch over to dipping YAY! Well we moved & our rent went up & we added on a few bills. The 1st paycheck we had with the new rent/bills he told me we only have an extra $50 to spend. I asked him just until we get settled into this new situation can you not buy any dip just bum off of ppl at work & pay back later. He said that was fine & he understood. WELL last week he came home a few days with smoke on his breath & I said hey IDC if you smoke I don't want to smell it.
Lets back up to April... long story short he lied to me about smoking..He was doing it again. I told him IDC just don't lie to me especially about something so stupid.
So FF to last week I asked him if they were his? He said my brand but I'm not the only one who smokes that brand. Then I asked if he purchased them, he then said yes.
Can anyone explain to me why he would keep it from me & make me feel shitty by lieing to me rather than just telling me the truth. He claims that tobbacco is the only thing he's ever lied to me about, I keep telling him that I'm not able to trust him since I know he can lie to me about something so simply & stupid.
Smoking is very very hard to quit or even cut down alot but you know that. As for his lying, that is bullshit. There is no reason to lie over something so stupid. No, maybe he thinks you will be dissapointed in him or something... idk.
I'm so sorry about your situation-However being a smoker it is so addictive!Ive quit for long periods of time and swear Id never go back! When I quit I thought everyone who smoke stinks Well I'm smoking again and there is something that happens to the brain-I cant help it-I need it want it and cant not have them!ITS A DRUG!I'm sorry your husband is lying to you but Im sure its cause he is ashamed and doesn't want to disappoint you!I know both my husband and I quit together and he still isn't smoking and I was ashamed I started and he didn't so I lied-however if its about your health he should do anything possible!
