How am I closed minded?!!(yes its a rant)

So why does it make me "closed minded" just because certian tings dont work for DH and my marriage? I commented to a post about how things like porn, swinging, ect just will never be a part of our marriage.  . I never said any of this was wrong if it works for your relaitionship. Just that We dont feel it has any place in ours. But because of that I am closed minded? Some people need to mind their own. What you do in your bedroom, or anyone elses doesnt effect my marriage and what DH and I dont do has no effect on yours.

That's not closed-minded. We certainly don't do anything like that...I have no issue with porn (swinging...erm..yes) but it just never really fits in.

I don't think you are closed minded, you are doing whats right for your marriage. That's all that matters. If it was between you, your hubby and random whoever that would be one thing, but its not. Just worry about what you and your hubby want and don't worry about what anyone else thinks! :)

nope, doesnt sound closed minded to me.

now if you had said: "its wrong and i cant believe you allow that to go on in your bedroom", i would have a different opinion *lol*

I don't think you are close-minded at all. I DO think it's close-minded to believe that everyone has to think the same things, accept the same behaviors and act the same way. This is a big big world. Open-mindedness, to me, is realizing the Not everyone is the same and that's PERFECTLY OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know how, "If it works for your marriage than by all means go for it", then in a reply to her question I stated how it just doesnt work fo us. and has no place in our marriage, but I know that different thing work for different people., is judging? I mean thats a stretch. (not saying your implying that)

I agree completely with this poster. You are not close minded and whoever said you were seems to be as they can not accept that you are different. There is no place for that in our relationship either but I dont care if someone else decides that is best for them. It is not my business!
