So I just checked my messages on my phone and have a message from a man named James Samual. He says that the message that I (he then says my full name) am about to recieve is extremely time sensitive and that if I or my lawyer do not call him in his division at 661-210-4685, Friday morning he is going to send two of his legal officers to my residence and they are going to escort me and my two references to the court house where I will face a big legal mess. But if I do not want to have to deal with the legal issue I must call him or have my lawyer call him. I don't even know who this person is and he doesn't really state who he is calling for or anything but I did try to call the number he gave but when I call it sounds like someone picks up but then I get a long beeping sound like a fax machine.

he didn't say what it was about at all other than legal issues? I would ignore it. It could be absoluetly nothing

Call the police and file a complaint, I would not call back. No one is just going to send a "legal representative" to someone's house to escort them to the court house. There are legal channels that have to be followed. If they call back, ask for a phone number your attorney can contact them at, proof of the "legal issue", their attorney's names and phone numbers. What courthouse and judge the "legal issue" is being held in front of. I am betting that it is nothing to worry about.

No, he just said legal issues and didn't state what or who he was representing.

Can you think of any legal issues you may have? Sounds odd especially if you have no idea what they are referring to.

Ok that is a bit odd the area code 661 covers all these areas in the California areaI also researched the # as some thing struck a cord with me and I'd like you to read this web site

http://phoneowner.info/Calls.aspx/661

I see your DH is military if you live on or near base I'd go speak to Navy Legal. Did you have a fedral loan or any kind of Pay Day Loan?

Best of luck

Jenn

I wouldn't worry about it I just looked up the number on a reverse phone look up and its somewhere in castaic california its a land line phone it doesn't give me an address though so what I would do is contact your phone company and have them block the call if he calls again.

I am just worried. Yes, we did have some unpaid creditors and I had a payday loan but not anymore because we did file a bankruptcy and it got discharged in May. We had a problem right after it was discharged where one creditor wasn't notified about the bankruptcy properly and threatened to sue us. So I was just wondering if it was a threatening phone call, scam, or joke. I mean this man even stated that my references were my mother and sister in law and knew their name also and they don't even live in the same state as me. I also don't want police officers coming to pick me up on Friday morning, I live on a military base and it would just cause tons of problems for my husbands career.
