I agree with it and it should be that way in every state.
Mommy of 2 great kids and wife of the best husband ever!!!
I think it is somewhat important. I mean, I would want to know if my daughter were pregnant--and I would hope she'd come to me first. It's too big of a decision to have to make alone. She would need support from somewhere--and if she suffered depression afterwards and I didn't know, how would I help her?

It is actually in place in several states. I was in high school when they passed it in Idaho. I'm not sure how I feel about it. What happens if the teen wants an abortion but the parent doesn't?

That is somewhat my reasoning. I know teenagers can go get birthcontrol without a parents permission. It should be up to the teenager to decide, as badly as I don't like abortions...that is not my decision to make. Too many parents are too controlling. If they don't want their kids getting knocked up.....well that is on them is all I have to say about it.
I think it's a terrible idea, and would fight it with every fiber of my being from being passed in my state. Becoming pregnant under the age of 18 doesn't make the body of that girl any less hers. All this is going to do is push girls who want an abortion, but wont be allowed to have one for fear of telling their parents, or because it goes against their parents beliefs to seek alternate, more dangerous methods to rid themselves of a baby. Way to go. /eyeroll

I am somewhat against abortions too, and i like this law. Teens need to know that abortion is not a kind of birth control. And maybe they would be more careful if they know they can't just run out and have a abortion everytime they have sex. I knew this girl when i was a teen and she had so many abortions that it messed her up and she wasn't able to have kids anymore, i don't want my daughter to end up that way.
I agree.
