Philippine Café Group Guidelines in Addition to CM's Rules

We are here because we share common Filipino heritage–some of us has more of it than others.A few simply want to learn more about the culture because a loved-one is part Filipino. T

his is a friendly group, not a debate group. Make each other feel welcome and supported. Excessive cursing is not allowed.Some received a direct invitation from the group owner because she believes they will enjoy being a part of this group and will participate as true member.Some members want to advertise or insert their business promotions as well, in addition to replying to questions already posted by other members. That is fine, as long as the response is truly relevant to the question.

Philippine Cafe's Rules for Advertisers

Business advertisements are allowed under the "BUSINESS" heading already posted. Separate heading made obviously to promote a business by any of the members will be deleted. Members can add a their advertisements under this "BUSINESS" section only.

Other ads posted somewhere else, should be less than an inch long, and only placed where that advertiser really answers questions about a post in a meaningful way. Introducing yourselves under the "Welcome"post is very much encouraged.

Advertisers who are truly interested in being part of this group will take the time to do this. Advertisers who do not introduce themselves and/or violate any of the ad guidelines will be notified by the group owner or group admin. If corrections are not made accordingly--within 24 hours--her membership, and/or the questioned post, reply, and advertisement will be removed.

Groups are run by Group Owners and Administrators, not the CafeMom Team.

Group Owners are responsible for the following:

1) Enforcing the mandatory CafeMom Group Guidelines.

2) Removing any posts, comments, and members from their group that violate the Guidelines.

Group Members are responsible for the following:

1) Familiarizing yourself with the CafeMom Group Guidelines and the Guidelines for the individual group prior to joining the group.

2) Using the Report Abuse link within the group to report any potential violations of the guidelines to the Group Owner. [About] Individual Group Guidelines on Advertising [and] cursing If a group owner decides to allow advertising, or excessive cursing, she MUST list those in the group guidelines for that group.

In addition, group owners can include other Guidelines that they would like followed in their group. For example, some groups will allow advertisements, but only for certain products. Other groups want only specific topics discussed. Some groups want members to have a "thick skin" and other groups want everyone to "feel welcome and supported."
