Snail Mail Pen Pals???

We do this in a few of my other groups, and it works well, so I figured I would open it up here as well.
Would anyone like to set up a pen pal thing? Basically, what will happen is that you can reply here, then once the window to sign up closes, I will take the list of people who have signed up and match the ladies up into pairs. When the pairs are posted, you contact whoever you are paired with to exchange snail mail info, then get writing! We can aim for about two letters each a month, and we can keep the partners we have for about 4 months, that was everyone gets an opportunity to participate. When it is time to switch partners, I will post an announcement to send your final letters out, along with a little treat for your pen pal.
What do you ladies say? Personally, to me, snail mail that is not a bill can cheer up even the worst day, lol.
Anyone who wants to sign up for a pen pal can reply here, and I will keep the thread open for a week, so I will close it on January 5 at noon central, and will post the partner lists by January 6th.

I just joined the group tonight and saw this post.  I did read that you were going to pair people on the 5th, but it was still open so I wondered if it was too late for me to do this.  It sounds fun, and like you said a letter in the mail is a much needed pick me up on some days.
