What do you do for health insurance if your trucker doesn't get it through his job.

Our kids are on CHIP and we go to a docs office that has affordable health care for adults who dont have insurance. We pay $100 a month for it and only $5 per visit when we do go in.

We're self employed and pay for private insurance. We make too much to qualify for state ins. We have Golden Rule through United Health care.

Is it really costly for what you get?

It's 638.00/month for a family of 5, it's Health, dental, and vision.   A  2500 ded, 35.00 copay for Dr visits, 15.00 copay for prescriptions, and no copay for dental. It's 80/20 for fillings, and dental work, and 6 month checkups are covered 100%. Vision is also in the plan, 2 free pair of glasses per year, and 1 exam per yr covered 100%. It's good ins, considering it's private, and we went through a broker in our state to find it.
