Nick applied for a job with a company called EDP,  they have BIG promises, everything from home every weekend,  and at least one night a week,  $1000+ a week paychecks, fully company paid insurance for the entire family, ect ect

But he had never heard of this company, and I can't seem to find much of anything on them, they say they have been in business since the early 70s

Anyone know anything?
I am so nervous with any job change, ya his company is jerking him around, but at the same time we KNOW their games, this is our only income.

Will they put it in writing?? I knew we wouldn't get yanked around too much by hubby's current company when the job offer arrived in writing in the mail.
All other companies he has worked for, and left, the job offer was only verbal. Not that you can't land a good one without a written job offer, but at least it shows they are trying to stick to their word.
Other than that, I would say try truckers report too. I've never heard of the company.
Oh, and 100 percent company paid crappy insurance might not be as good of a deal as good insurance that you end up paying more for. Are they giving you details about deductibles and co-insurance? Last company hubby was with didn't even have prescription coverage. And if you went to the ER with a broken leg, they wouldn't cover a dime; you had to be sick, not injured. Even then, they only paid $1000 maximum. That was the number one reason we changed companies. I couldn't figure out how, unless you were sick in the hospital a few times, you could even get the premiums back in services. They only paid a maximum of $100 per doctor visit, not even enough to cover the vaccines for all the babies.

Is the company Emcee Driver Personnel? If so I've read that it's a recruiting company for other companies, so the info is general, and doesn't mean that the company you're assigned to will actually give that pay. It's just to reel you in. There's an entire topic on the "Truckers Report" forum online.

It dose appear its a recruiting service, wonder at what point they tell us the actual company he would be driving for. NIck is just convinced that half of what any trucking company tells you is bull, but we dont want to pass up a great opritunity either...

Sounds too good to be true.  Companies that my DBF has worked for has made promises.  There were promises that were kept but not all.  I'd check into it a little more.  G'luck!!!

It sounds like a scam to get a lot of personal information about you and your family.....but that's just my opinion. Hubby has always filled out aps in person...at least want face to face with someone.
