Are you freaking kidding me. It's not like I'm getting diamonds put in!
I had 4 cavities in an 8 year span and managed to accumulate a mouth full during my last pregnancy.
I found something online about healing cavities through proper
nutrition that I'm going to try. Thought I had good nutrition.
That's my vent for the day.
oh aren't dentists on the same level as the mafia?????? LOL kidding..... i hear you though it is so expensive and dental insurance is such a joke even if one is lucky enough to have it.......
our DD is so lucky i don't know how she does it........... she is 9 yrs old and has NEVER EVER had one cavity in her life......she will need braces once all her baby teeth are out but still......WTH..... i am very proud of her... all the other kids in her class look like a hand granade went off in their mouths (well mine does too but we are talking kids here...LOL).....
If anyone drinks sugary drinks at all here is a little knowledge for thought:
When i was in college and took my microbiology class we learned that when you drink sugary drinks of any kind the sugar feeds this certain bacteria in your mouth (the name slips my mind now) but anyway this sugar sticks to your teeth and the bacteria attact it like mad and by doing so will cause a cavity in a tooth.... just imagine forgetting to brush your teeth one night and all those little bateria bugs eating at your teeth and gums..... YUK! i remember i didn't drink soda for 3 months, i do again now but trust me after watching a video on it i am sitting here looking at my pepsi with a love/hate attitude....LOL
have you tried having work done at a dental school?
we have one that is an hour away and they let ONLY the last year students perform work on the general public for clinicals and experience, everything is watched by an instructor at all times and they charge (i have heard) a lot less then a regular dentist.
just a thought.
I can soo relate!!
My dentist and his staff can afford to take vacations in Fiji......annually at what they charge for procedures.
Okay maybe not annually but seriously???
Quoting BorgQueen:
I seem to be so unhealthy after I have a baby lol. After my son I had sinus infections every month for a year or so. After my daughter I have horrible teeth and part of my hair turned gray : (
it is funny how you mention "Figi".... everytime i get too stressed i tell my DH i am going to sell his harley and go on a much needed vacation to Figi......LOL
i don't know why but that is always the destination that comes out of my mouth......
