Good idea or bad? I posted with the blue and brown walls and i don't like the blue color. I am thinking of mixing some white in it to make it a little more subtle. Waste of time or worth a chance????

Sure, I do it all the time. Then make a sample by putting the color on some paper. If you need more, then one can take the color sample to the paint store and have it computer matched. Good luck!

Dh and I were going to do that, but an employee at Sherwinn Williams said it takes a lot of white to lighten a color.  He said it would just be easier to get a new color.  I've never tried it because of that.  I was going to add the color to a can of white and go from there, but we ended up just switching colors anyway.

I have done it, but you need to make sure you mix enough paint because once you start it is almost impossible to mixt it exactly again if you need more.

Thanks. Shouldn't be a issue since it didn't even take half a can to paint the first time. This time i am not painting the bar in the blue...so...I will attempt this weekend. I will post the finish product...lol.

With the cost of paint, you would need a lot of white....go get what you like and make sure they get it right this time! Good luck!
