Stenciling question

I'd like to put one of those quotes on my bedroom wall (which I've never attempted before) but I'm finding that you can either use a stencil which you paint or buy vinyl words that stick on.  Does anyone have any preferences, suggestions?

Thanks!

I would do the decal.  That way you can remove it when you get tired of it.  Painting would just add to the work.

I agree.  I would do the decal as well in case you want to redecorate.

Well, I have done all 3, I have done free hand, used stencils and vinyl. I prefer vinyl!

I have a few vinyl decals through my house and I LOVE them, they look very crisp and neat, unless you are a painting pro anything you paint would have imperfections.  I myself am working on making decals but I also know a few sellers via etsy if you want any recommendations.
