DINING ROOM HELP

ok so we moved into our home recently an this is how the dining room looks now

we will be putting up this light fixture

i have these accessories 

 SO MY QUESTIONS ARE

im not so sure the mirror goes

SHOULD  

 i keep the mirror or get one that matches the light fixture ?

WHAT color curtain an rod should i get?

EVEN with the new light fixture , curtians an maybe new mirror I FEEL LIKE something is lacking

curtain choices

they are 95" panels so they well be much higher

these look darker in person

which one do you like better>?

MAYBE , place settings, in like a copper color,

I like the mirror and I think it is complimentary to the room.
Do you like one of the greens in the rug.. if so, try to match curtains to one of those greens.
Can you paint your walls?
Id love to see some architectural detail in there.. maybe a chair rail, or wainscotting...it is "lacking" something.. maybe one you get everything else up, it will pop out at you what you need.

MY DR is the room I struggle with the most as well... LOL...

i have thought about chair rail molding an then painting the bottom half i guess my only concern with that is the fact that there are two very large door ways into there, 

my thought was to paint the lower half an then do chair rail, i guess ill see how it comes together once everything is up

i thought green curtains to but wondered if it was to much , went to BBB today an found a coppery brown well update later

I would put the over that table thing against the wall...I forget the name of that table. I love the light fixture.

I think greenish curtains would look nice. Maybe match the metal on the light fixture? And place settings would look good too.

Mirror above the hutch. Love the copper curtains. I feel You need to add more jewel tones in the space..
