Guest bathroom or powder room supplies

I was at a party recently, and while visiting the powder room I noticed that the room was very sparsely decorated and I realized the only accessories/supplies they had in there was the hand soap and a hand towel.  They didn't even have an extra roll of toilet paper or tissues.  It got me thinking about what things a good hostess would have available for guests in her powder room.  (We're redoing our powder room and I want to make sure to stock it well)

Here are a few things I think would be good ideas for a welcoming powder room:

Room deodorizer (to avoid any embarrassing moments)

a small first aid kit with antiseptic and bandaids

aspirin or ibuprofen

feminine  products

saline solution

hook to hang your purse (I hate putting it on the floor)

sewing kit?

hand cream

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Our guest bathroom has most on your list plus we have extra shampoo, bodywash, and bar soap (my little brother only uses bar).

Trash can, but I actually don't have one. I like wipes also.

Magazines?

You are a nice and thoughtful hostess!

DH has an assortment of magazines in there already.  I'm looking for a coordinating mag rack because right now they're spilling onto the floor!

I think it's the lack of consideration of some other people that makes me think of these things.  When you're stranded in someone else's bathroom searching for toilet paper or a tissue or anything else you might need in a bathroom emergency it makes you think, "is my bathroom as ill- equipped?"  I just like to be prepared.

I have been in bathrooms without trash cans and wondered if they just flush everything down the toilet.

Sounds like you are well prepared!    I would add:  Tissue, Q tips, and cotton balls, Tums, manicure set and perhaps an aerosol can of deoderant?   Some guest may like to "freshen up".

Ha, I think so! I need a trash can.

I'm trying.  I like the idea of the Tums and manicure set.  I originally had q-tips and cotton balls but then wondered why someone would need that if they're not an overnight guest.
