for the kiddos....
1, 2 or 3?
1. Out of sight, out of mind. The books will get dumped in there (with whatever else) and they'll have to dig through teh baskets to get what they want. Which is too much work, so they'll just end up baskets full of books. Baskets are good for store toys, but not books.
2. I like the look of this, but it's only practical if you have a lot of wall space you don't need. You can only store one or two books per every 12 or so inches.
3. This bins are good for books and 'stuff'. You can put baskets in some for toys, use some for books, whatever you need. Also easily movable.
I'm doing the second one in our playroom so I would have to say #2 :)We have it set up like #3 now and it's always a mess

I like #2-but it seems like a lot to keep organized(for me).I would be really OCD about making sure all the books were spaced , straight and sized just right so it looks neat.
1 & 3 are more practical for me.
The teacher in me says 2. The SAHM in me says 1.
