Please show us pics of your kitchen. I have seen lots of posts about various "theme ideas" for kitchens so I thought this woud be a great place to start.
Since no one wants to share, I will post mine - even though they have been on here enough already!
We gutted our kitchen before we moved in. We did all of the work ourselves except for the drywall. My next house will have a HUGE kitchen that is open to the family room - neither of which you will find in old homes! The only pics I have are from Christmas a few years ago:
We gutted our kitchen, too, but not down to the studs. The walls are still actually real pine paneling, we just covered up the top 2/3's with plywood so we could paper. The floor looks more pink/pastel than it is. It's more terra cotta. I wish we could afford new countertops, but I'd rather eat :). I've never been happy with the custom cabinets. I wanted a square design, the man (and I'm sure my husband, although he's never admitted it) made a cathedral design to match the benches. Of course, they had to go in to keep the project on time, and instead of demanding new doors I let it slide. It's been about 10 years, so maybe in a few more we can do it again. The backdoor is on the other side of the fridge. The table and chairs were unfinished and the husband and kids had a great time one Sunday afternoon. The "island" is usually full of, well, crap. And I haven't seen the top of the table in a month.
I guess the theme would just be fruit. Everywhere. Fan, light. paper border, art, wreath, curtains, etc...
Man, this really makes me want to clean my kitchen...
This is what my kitchen usually looks like...kids sitting on the counter, eating processed foods with ketchup, and watching TV. Good times.
Mobile phone pics. Not the best, I have a cafe theme but you can't really tell in these...plus I got new artwork I haven't gotten a pic of yet that is cafe themed as well.

WOW you girls all have such beautiful kitchens, you wouldn't even want to see mine! it is long and skinny (it used to be very small many years ago, until one owner enclosed the back porch and made the kitchen longer, it's like 10' x 20'),
It is also a mess right now, and I don't have any pics, maybe later, it's also very cluttered from all the things I like and being a small space.
just wanted to let you know I have kitchen envy!

WOW! You ladies have wonderful kitchens! We have an old ghetto farm house. People say "Oh how fun, an old farm house!" No, not a nice old farm house with a large wrap around porch. I mean an OLD GHETTO FARM HOUSE! hahaha....so we're working with what we got :-) The house was white from head to toe......so here we go.....
Most of the things that are hanging are my Mothers or Grandmothers.
