Does your child still need a 'lovey' and/or nightlight to help them sleep at night? For my dd, it all depends on what kind of day she has had. And if she's gotten into any serious kind of trouble. Mostly, she does fine and will go to sleep (without a 'lovey') about 30 minutes or so after going to bed. She went for a few nights w/o a nightlight and it was sheer terror for her because it was so dark I had to sleep in her bedroom until we could find the perfect nightlight. Once it was plugged in, things changed and she is sleeping thru the night, only getting up to use the potty and going right back to bed and falling fast asleep until morning.
