Since the beginning of recorded history, there have been spiritual paths, teachings, and myths which speak about the Divine having both a masculine and feminine essence, or nature. With the popularity of the book and movie "The Da Vinci Code", many people are beginning to question the idea that God is only masculine. There is a great remembrance going on within our culture- a remembrance of the Divine Feminine. To the Gnostics, She is Sophia. To the Wiccans she is known by many names, some of the most popular being Isis, Demeter, and Hekate. In India she is known as Kali, Creator, preserver, and destroyer( of ignorance). And even in western religion, she is embodied in Mother Mary, and Mary Magdalene. The intention of this forum is to provide a place where both the feminine and masculine aspects of the divine can be equally honored and exalted. If you come from a traditional Christian background and love Jesus, yet you also have a desire to learn more about the feminine aspect of the Divine, then this is the place for you.
