Hi everyone! I am new to the group and I am looking to get some feedback from other expecting mothers. I am 26 years old and expecting my second child (1st is 4 yo). I am using the same practice I did with my son so its pretty much the same doctors.Burlington County OB/GYN. If you are on Mcguire or Ft dix then they are the OBs there.  With my son i had a terrible pregnancy and ended up delivering 4 weeks early via induction and after 19 hours of labor they did an emergency csection. I had hyperemesis, preeclampsia, gallstones, and high blood pressure with his pregnancy. I am now pregnant again (33 weeks) and having very similar issues. I have the high blood pressure and the gallstones and i've also lost 36 lbs since i got prego. Now i am a heavy woman (5.7 and 240 lbs when i got prego) so this shows a significant difference and I don't even look pregnant right now so says everyone. I havce also been out on disability since 4/16 due to the BP and they have sent me for 2 level two ultrasounds with a perintologist (sp?). I went to my docs yesterday and saw a doc i don't regularly see but he has always been nice before. He was VERY nasty to me. To the point where even my husband was shocked and I was so suprised I didn't even know how to respond. I simply told him that the ultrasound tech that did my ultrasound on friday said that there was a confilt with the due dates and to let my doc know. he jumped down my throat telling me that why am i lsitening to them and they dont even know what they are talking about and i just need to be quiet. Then a few minutes later i started to tell him about how my husband just got notification he is going on orders on July 23 )we are army reserve) and he yet again stared jumping down mmy throat saying there is no way we are inducing you and you just need to stop asking for that and stop being so selfish and think about your kid or not have the kid at all. I was SHOCKED! i was simply notifying them so they could put in my chart that my husband might not be able to be there! I found this whole situation very upsetting. On top of that my docs have my due date listed as 8/14. If you go bbased on my last period which was 10/16/06 then I am due 7/21 if you go by what the ultrasound tech has said for the last two ultrasounds based on the developement I am due 7/27. My docs refuse to change it saying that its no big deal. i am so frustrated and confused because I am having the same complications as with my first PG and now i'm afraid if they think my due date is 16 days later then it is they won't do anything if they keep getting worse. Any advice on this matter and how i should handle it or what i should do?? If you go by the 8/14 due date i am 33 weeks prego if you by the ultrasound due date of 7/27 then i am 35 weeks pregnant. I am SOOO confused and the last thing i need is this for my blood pressure. Thank you in advance for advice!

Hi!  Sorry you had such a bad experience.  I use Burlington County OB/GYN (Delran office), and have never had any problems with any of the doctors I've seen there.  If you don't mind my asking, who did you see yesterday?  If you don't want to post, feel free to send me a note.

I go to the delran office too. Have always gone there since before I got prego with my son. I saw dr zalkin but usually I see hulbert, lamotta, and uma. Lamotta is the one that sent me to the specialist for the ultrasound and put me on procardia and sent me to the neuro. Uma is the one that claims I am only 33 weeks prego despite the USs and my last period showing I am due a LOT sooner and hulbert (what a wonderful man) delivered my 1st son and recognized the issues with this PG and put me out on disabliity until after I have the baby. I have had issues with the one nurse there actually calilng my job AFTER she knew dr hulbert had put me out and almost costing me my job cause then they thought i was lying. She has short brown hair and is also the one i saw yesterday at the Willingboro office (fluke only place they could get me in). She didn't even do a urine test and took my BP in literally less then 5 seconds. My hubby is a medic in the army and paramedic in Civilian world, Iraq twice and he said there is no way she could have done it that fast. I am just really really bothered by all thsi. My best friend works at an OB clinic in way souther jersey and she is really bothered by how all this went down too. Who do you normally see and do you think Zalkin is a jerk too or did ya have a good experience with him?
