Hi everyone!
After numerous searches and reading a million EMS forums I feel like I finally found a place that might be able to help me out here!
So let me start by introducing myself. I am currenly 25 yrs old, 14 weeks pregnant with my 1st!! :) and I also work for a VERY BUSY commercial city EMS company. My supervisors know I am pregnant and I'm pretty sure all of my co-workers know as well. No issues with me working...so far! :)
My question to all EMS/PD/FD moms out there is uniform pants???? I have already had my job order me new pants in a bigger size but I am pretty much grown out of them already! For whatever reason, I look about 5 months pregnant already and I'm a tiny girl to begin with!
Company policy is ems pants, belt, and uniform shirt TUCKED in. In the summer we have polo tshirts we can wear but they have to be TUCKED in as well. So how do I wear maternity EMS pants and tuck my shirt in?? Wearing a belt isn't an issue since I bought a really big one to grow into. I want to make my own maternity EMS pants but I just don't know how I'd go about tucking my uniform shirt in?
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks sooo much!
sorry but no solutions here...i'm in NJ and as an EMT if you become pregnant you automatically are off the road.
5:11 TRU-SPEC is the pant that I used when I was pregnant. It is a normal EMS pant, but the awesome thing about them is they have an elastic front. I got my normal size and never had to get another size. I got VERY big and was still very comfortable. Hope this helps. I worked till a week before my due date and would buy them over and over again.
