I work for AMR in Southern NJ our main base is in Philadelphia. They have so many problems any other mommy's around there work for AMR and find it an enjoyable place to work I hear it's different elsewhere.
It's all AMR's I think! I used to work there and all the part time employees were treated great and the full timers were treated like crap. And if you had kids it seemed like you had it worse. I worked for the Mobile AL office our big office was in Gulf Port and they were just as bad. Since I left there have been major changes in operations and I don't believe it was for the better. I loved the people I worked with just not the ones I worked for.
I think it is a private service thing... I work for one in Iowa and they treat their FT like shit too. I used to be FT 24s til I had my son and now I am just PRN. It is still pretty crappy somedays... but I know I don't get it as bad as the FT people do.
My husband used to work for the same company I work for now, he quit and went to a county service and he LOVES it other then teh 24 hour shifts.
WOW!! I thought that it was only the AMR'S that I was around that were bad LoL!! My husband works for AMR in Texas and they are going through some changes here. They are getting better!! Since we just found out that we are expecting, a lot of the staff has been giving him grief about breeding for EMS LoL A lot of the people that he works with are WONDERFUL!! but some of the people he works for are ummmmm...... interesting.

Wow, this is a late post lol. I have been away from cafemom for a bit though. I work for AMR in Tampa, FL. I have to say, it has its days. Lol. Nice to see others in the company though.
