Chicken noodle soup? (piog)

my SO is not feeling well today so i thought i would make some homemade chicken noodle soup. what do you put in yours to make your loved ones feel better? what spices do you use?

Sorry you don't feel well. I did the same thing a couple of weeks ago when we caught the nasty cold virus going around daycare.

I don't typically overspice it, but will use Herbs de Provence to give some flavor. Also, make sure you use enough salt. That's a big thing that helps it not taste so Blah.

I also roast the chicken in the oven with skin on and a little olive oil/salt/pepper. This makes the chicken really flavorful.

Mine is pretty simple, I use can chicken, undrained, ( I know, it's lazy!), diced carrots, celery and onion. Then use about 2 cups chicken broth to one cup water. What makes my soup so yummy, is the noodles. I use the frozen Reames noodles in the freezer section. They are thick and sooo good. Then I throw in pepper, parsley, a little thyme, and salt.
