I thought it would be fun to just name a few things I can't believe have happened lately, so if you want to follow me and do the same, it could be a nice thread....

Here are mine:

  • I can't believe that T has finished all of his finals this year despite having such a hard time in the last couple of months.
  • I can't believe that O is actually finishing his year with high honors, after his difficult last quarter.
  • I can't believe another year has gone by and my boys didn't stay back due to their emotional and social issues (which always interfere with their studies no matter what the schools say- it's enough that they stay home to take emotional days off and they miss out of educational things they have to make up later on, not to mention the social interaction).
  • I can't believe I found tutors for both boys for the summer vacations, to keep them busy and happy and their time structured
  • I can't believe I didn't lose my mind yet!
  • I can't believe I'll be able to sleep later than 5:20am in just a few more days.

  • oh this is such a good idea!

    • I cant believe how far we have come in just a year and how much progress we have made
    • I cant believe my baby (okay my oldest lol) will be going off to middle school next year
    • I cant believe how amazing it is that my son has friends now and that he made it through a whole year with only minor problems with classmates and he worked through them and came out being friends with those boys
    • i cant believe that my son is actually finding things to keep him busy this summer and i only hear "i'm bored" once or twice a day instead of every 10 minutes.
    • I cant believe that after 7 years of battles, crying, feeling alone and hopeless I finally have my son diagnosed, on an IEP and doing amazing and the therapy is working and he is picking up on social cues.

  • I can't believe that we finished the school year and got an award for the best student in his Algebra 2 class.

I can't believe we got the results for the ACT test and they were pretty good, especially the math.  After he had finished  the test two weeks ago he wanted me to cancel the scores because he thought he had done terrible. ( He actual did better on the ACT than the SAT)

I can't believe his summer volenteering  at the library is going well. The librarian let  him help tutor their computer camp for adults and he actual enjoyed do this.

you are so lucky that you here the "I'm bored" only twice a day!!!!
I hear it all day long from two teenagers, can you imagine?
I'm exhausted just from hearing it.

    that's just wonderful!
T didn't think he'd get a good grade in math this year and got a 96 as a final grade. I don't know what it is about math that makes hard for them to estimate how they did...

Anyway, I'm glad to see that your son is doing so well
