E-mailed ESE specialist Wed the 26 of Aug. and asked for an IEP.   Just want to know have any of your heard from her?  Did I accidental give her the wrong phone number, e-mail address?

Power of Attorney is done for my Aspie son..he turned 18, Aug. 26..do think that is why she has not contacted me?  Did not have power of attorney signed until this morning. Now we can represent my son again.  My son at 18, can not call himself in sick or sign himself out of school, but yet he must represent himself when it comes to an IEP.  I think this is absolutely absurd.

The ESE specialist should at least e-mail me to tell me that the IEP has been transferred over to my son.  My husband just thinks she is busy, with beginning of the year things.  When I spoke to the ESE specialist last summer before break I explained to her that I wanted an IEP right when school started to address some issues that where left off his current IEP...things that she does not want to address, he was 17 then!

Boy it is the last year of high school can't things go smoothly?

When I have spoken to disability departments on college campuses they are so much more accommodating..they have so many more students.  I don't understand public school mentality.  I am really burnt out and it is only the first week.

By the way the graduation party is at my house June 6th!
