Fertility advice

So me and hubby went to the fertility docter today. The docter is great and very explanatory which I love! He is going to test to see how many good eggs I am producing with an ultrasound and a blood test on the 2nd day of my cycle. Then he will test Eddies sperm.Then around the ninth day he is going to shove a tube up my you know what and put dye inside while having an ultrasound to see if my tubes are blocked and make sure they are ok. I am nervous about that cuz I didn't have a very good reaction to the dye when I had one to check my heart years ago. I should probably mention that! Plus I am nervous about having to take any medicine or hormone shots because my gyno gave me clomid which is a fertility pill and I had a bad reaction to it. Clomid gave me depression and suicidal thoughts which is common side affects for it but I don't want to go through that again! After talking for awhile I do think the problem is me. My mom had trouble getting pregnant. Me and my sis are 7 yrs apart and she had a misscarriage in between. My sis has had unprotected sex for years and hasn't gotten pregnant and it took me 3 yrs to get pregnant with Ethan. We weren't trying but we hadn't used protection ever. Sorry I am ranting on I am just really nervous.I brought up adoption with Eddie but he wasn't happy about that idea at all! But theres is no way we can afford IVF. Has any of you been through anything like this and can offer me some advice or experiences?
