My LO is 6 weeks old and was fussing at the bottle alot. He was taking almost an hour to eat three ounces and was sleeping alot instread of eating at the bottle. His little cheeks were caving in from sucking so hard so I think he was getting tired quickly. DH and I got a fast flow nipple today and tried it out tonight. He ate 2 ounces in 20 minutes and is now asleep in his swing for the first time. YEAH! He only had one little spit up and all else was good. I think maybe he just needed more milk at a time. Any of you ladies had this issue?
Faster isn't necessarily better, but that doesn't sounds like a lot. I would have gotten anti-vaccuum bottles myself like bornfree avent and drbrowns. Anti-vaccuum helps prevent ear infections by allow the baby to suck without dislodging the earpieces(I don't remmeber the technical names) But if the faster flow is working and babe doesn't start spitting up a lot or gaining too quickly, you should be fine.
