About Polycystic Kidney Disease

Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) is a kidney disease that affects my family. My Mom has it, and she passed it along to 4 of my sisters. I, along with one of my sisters, was lucky enough not to inherit this horrible gene. One of my nieces has this disease also, but none of the other nieces and nephews have been tested for it yet. My family is very active in the PKD Seattle Chapter. The above mentioned niece, and one of my sisters are currently participating in 2 different drug studies. Another sister is the Seattle Chapter Coordinator, while yet another sister is the 2008 Walk Coordinator. This is a place to share our experiences, learn more, and become friends.
