Hands come in all sizes, large and small. Hands show the character in a person. Hard working hands. Hands of a different color, hands are strong. His hands have a musical history, playing instruments, piano and saxaphone. Hands that have a true talent. Hands that are soft, smooth, and gentle, not rough. Well cared for and not dry but moisturized.
Hands that are warm and not cold and clammy, shows an inner confidence and being worry free. His nails are well manicured, medium length, well trimmed. His palms reveal many lines, running through one another, life lines, love lines, health lines, fortune lines and whatever else, I am unable to read them , however. One day we were sitting around talking and looking at each others palms and jokingly he was commenting on mine saying how short they were with many breaks , like a dot to dot puzzle joining the lines intersecting to join the longer lines. Two lines coming down looked like birds feet. The lines on his hands were longer and BOLDER,
which may explain his warmness, kind heart, and his patience and determined, positive qualities and his musical talent. My hands have gotten painted, for I am to an artist, hands are used for creating. Through time as we get older hands show our age. Childhood youth, holding onto a mother's hand and when we grow up the hold of the hand of our parents lets go as we enter into a world of working, having children of our own, once again interlocking our hands and providing safety to our little ones and showing compassion, caring and love not only to the young but to the old. So romantic to see two senior citizens walking hand in hand along the beach or two young siblings running hand in hand through the yard, the oldest one looking out for the younger.
This is an assignment I had on descriptive writing on the subject of Hands, describing someone's hands(someone I knew).
Beautifully written I never knew so much could be written about hands in such a creative manner.
